The Kobarid Historical Trail

The Kobarid History Trail is a circular trail that connects historical, cultural and natural points of interest. It is about 5 km long in total and takes 3 to 5 hours, depending on physical abilities of visitors and their interest. The trail includes visits to the Kobarid Museum*, the Italian Charnel House, the ancient settlement of Tonocov grad, the remains of the Italian line of defence, the Soča River Gorge, the Kozjak Waterfall*, the Napoleon Bridge, and the cheese-making museum "Od planine do Planike"*.

It is also possible to decide on a shorter version, which is about 3 km long and takes 2 to 3 hours. The shorter version omits the walk through the forest and a visit to the ancient settlement Tonocov grad.

*The costs of visits to the museums and the Kozjak waterfall are not included in the price of a guided tour; visits to them are extra charged according to the valid price list of the provider.

Guided tours are done in Slovenian, Italian, English, German and Croatian.
